![]() Epic released the full version of this game as freeware on their website in 1997, but Epic Classics is still selling it on their website. There is still a fan following for this game even today. The game also came with a level editor, inspiring thousands of user-created levels. ZZT is known for clever level design and use of the 16 color palette, and also uses the PC speaker to create music more effectively than most games of this era. They've also all been updated with the latest version of the Ohrrpgce and Vista-compatable Game Maker, so they should run on most Windows machines. ![]() Most are Ohrrpgce games, but there are also Qbasic, ZZT, and Game Maker games in there. I spent the last few days setting this up (it's inspired in part by Edmund's CD): In total there are now 21 freeware games on our site right now (counting game series' Rhygar and Fedora Spade as individual games), spanning from 1996 until the present. ![]()
